IDL Sri Lanka were about to launch the countries first arrack-based liqueur. The labelling and naming needed to not only look attractive, but the intent was to give the local bartenders a story to share and sense of pride, using the product.
The name Nine Arches refers to the iconic bridge in the sky that has become an iconic destination in Sri Lanka. The bridge in Ella, immediately gives the product a local essence. We liked it and thankfully the client did too.
While the label itself reflected the bridge in the most romantic, nostalgic illustrated rendition possible, Seeni Colombo went one step further to animate the label. An ice breaker, a thought starter and on occasion simply a cool label it came to life and gave the customers an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the gentle nudge of where the name originated from as well as access to a catalogue of recipes created especially for the brand.
